Building Better Conditions for Care
A Community Screening & Launch of Be Well Foundation

What would it look like if every Black mother in Winston-Salem felt seen, supported and connected throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum?

Join Be Well Foundation for a free community screening of High Risk, followed by a conversation about maternal care, access, support and the conditions families need to thrive.

This gathering brings together mothers and families, healthcare and maternal-health practitioners, advocates, nonprofit leaders and community members who care about the health and well-being of Black mothers and babies in our community.

Rather than simply naming the challenges, we will ask: What can we build differently — together?

The conversation will be led by a local panel exploring what mothers need, what practitioners are seeing, where gaps remain, and how our community can strengthen the connections between families, trusted providers and resources.

Introducing Be Well Foundation

Founded by Brianna Holland and Connie Perry, Be Well Foundation is building a community-centered approach to maternal health that connects Black mothers and families with culturally aligned support, trusted practitioners and community resources.

The event will also introduce the Be Well Maternal Network, an emerging local network designed to strengthen connections among mothers, practitioners, community organizations and systems of care.

This is a community investment.

This work is made possible in part through support from The Winston-Salem Foundation, reflecting a broader community investment in building a stronger maternal-health ecosystem for Black mothers and families in Forsyth County.

Come listen. Come connect. Come share what you know. Come help us think about what Winston-Salem can build together.

Registration is free, but RSVP is required.
